Newborns cry for all sorts of reasons. There are a few "go-to" things we usually check for first. But if those aren't the cause, it often becomes a guessing game to figure out the cause of your newborn's crying.
If your little one isn't tired, hungry or in need of a nappy (diaper) change, here are 3 other causes of crying in newborns, and how to know which one is causing your baby's distress. Most importantly, you'll learn how to differentiate between them to help avoid mistaking one cause of crying for something completely different, like assuming it's just purple crying when your little one has an underlying problem causing them to be in pain.
