Even though Glocks and similar polymer striker-fired pistols are now the standard for semi-autos today, there are still a lot of shooters who aren't totally comfortable with the lack of external safety features. Some manufacturers have responded by offering manual thumb safeties or grip safeties on their striker-fired pistols, but Glock is not among them. The Striker Control Device is an aftermarket product that allows users to add an additional fail-safe to their Glock that is especially useful when reholstering the gun. Today we're going to talk about what the SCD does and how it works.
