So some dudes found this video and are “upsetti spaghetti” as my friend Reads With Rachel would say. If you don’t like me saying “authors shouldn’t be in review spaces or commit violence against people cause they ain’t like their books” that’s a you problem.
I got a couple of details wrong. Timing and when Hailey’s video came out and stuff like that. Sharni's video is much more thorough.
I wasn't planning on making a video mid-week. But I think it's important to speak out against behaviour like Matt Shaw's within the book community. Whether you're a reviewer, a reader, or a writer we need to hold space for each other and not be shitty.
This is also me stating the core values of my channel. So if you don't rock with me not tolerating misogyny, transphobia, homophobia, ableism, racism and all that you are more than welcome to leave.

Reviewers shouldn't be afraid to share their honest opinions of books. Authors don't have the right to lash out. Authors are not entitled to praise for their work.
