Most of us know the feeling of seeing a notice that says something is about to be cut off. It means the time to respond is running out.
Jesus uses that same idea in Luke 13:6–9 with the parable of a fig tree that had not produced fruit. Just when the owner was ready to remove it, the gardener asked for more time to work on it.
That’s the story of grace—God giving us another season to become what we were planted to be.
