Instead of using plywood, we’re adding foam to our headers to gain some additional insulation value, and thermal break. (Stops the cold from transferring from the outside to the inside)

A simple tip to help improve efficiency, as minor as it may be. A bunch of small improvements like this will net a really well-built home.
