UPDATE: Jelly Comb MT50 trackball NO LONGER BEING SOLD - check out my Elecom EX-G for an excellent trackball, which I have happily used for years.
I have endured with Logitech trackballs for several years. Both the M570 and Mx Ergo died the same way - left click switch became faulty with unintentional double clicks. Logitech has no service centre, so cannot repair it. I am not skilled enough to replace the switch. So Logitech just wants you to buy a new product. The Mx Ergo is one of the most expensive trackballs on the market and it is a premium product, so to die after a few years compared to a $10 mouse which lasted me longer, that is quite pathetic. You may be fortunate and have had not this issue with Logitech trackballs, but I have had enough after spending about $200 on their trackballs over the years.
