Can the pulsar modular p42 Climax v3 actually sound like mix analog's real Neve 1084 line amp? Does this analog transformer line amp plugin emulation recreate the classic transformer sound of a wolfbox DI line amplifier and how does it compare to acustica gold 4's sampled neve line amplifiers.
Also includes a line amp vs mic pre lesson and why its not a good idea to compare the pulsar modular plugin to a microphone preamp plugin.
My name is Paul Third and I am a Scottish youtuber / audio engineer / mixing engineer / audio geek. I mostly cover audio engineering related content ranging from audio plugin shootouts / plugin comparisons (acustica audio plugins, universal audio etc etc) to actual analog vs digital / gear vs plugins plugin tests via access analog and mix analog. In terms of my audio interface I record and monitor through my audient id44 and use an audio technica AT2050 for all of my voice overs.
