just thought retro's attention to detail in dkc returns was kinda neat. in most (2d) platformers your character's legs just sorta hang over the edge once you get really close to it. not here. while there are plenty of platfomers that do the tumble/dangerously close to falling animation, dkc returns also makes sure that rambi's front legs always remain on the platform while the player is slowly approaching the edge.
