The third game in the Donkey Kong Country trilogy for the GameBoy advance, starring Dixie and her cousin Kiddy Kong. One of my favorite video games of all time. "Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!" is often overlooked by the other two previous entries in the series- an unfortunate fact as this title is phenomenal. I love all three games, but this one stood out to me among the others because of its oddly "chilling" atmosphere. Perhaps it's the subtle implications of technological advancement and an industrial revolution in contrast to the lush landscapes the franchise is known for, or Eveline Fischer's new direction with the music.
Either way, this is a standout game in a fantastic series. Please try is out if you haven't. I decided to record the entirety of the GBA version of this game, even though the Super Nintendo version is aesthetically superior, because I found it difficult to find quality footage of this particular version- and I wanted to experience the changes (eg. the new world not seen in the original, dialogue changes, and minigames).
