The game is a 2-player side-scrolling beat 'em up game, released on the SEGA Megadrive/Genesis on 1992 by Konami. It is heavily based on the hit arcade game Turtles in Time, which was eventually ported to the Super NES). Despite being a watered down version of the arcade game with a few differences, Teenage Mutant Ninja/Hero Turtles The Hyperstone Heist is still regarded by some as one of the best beat 'em up video games, and also one of the best games ever made for the SEGA Megadrive/Genesis.
