one of the greatest producers of the 70s and '80s, Bill Szymczyk, gives us the lowdown on working with one of the greatest bands of the rock era: Eagles… He tells us the story of how Don Henley and Glenn Frey saw a Rich Fat guy with a hot girl and that in here eyes they could see her lies. They went home and wrote Lyin' Eyes and it became a 70s classic.

It’s time for another episode of our series Revelations, where featured artists go deep on their greatest songs and albums. And we have a true legend today… Eagles producer Bill Szymczyk, who helped transform their soft rock country sound to straight-ahead Rock, took them from the Take It Easy/peaceful easy feeling sound of the early 70s to the Already Gone/Hotel California sound of the mid to late 70s. Today, he gives us the behind-the-scenes blow-by-blow of On the Border and One of These Nights, two albums that gave us multiple Eagles classics.
And then there's Lying Eyes and a great one liner that came from Glenn Frey seeing a supermodel with an old fat rich guy, and he wrote the line down on a napkin, it became a smash, plus the song that DON Henley wished would not have been put on any Eagles album… Written by out the door member Bernie Leadon and a US president’s daughter, plus the pressure of Take it to the limit where the normally tried and true back up singer Randy Meisner was front and center with one of the greatest high notes ever recorded and the pressure that came with trying to nail it every night and lastly Bill explains how the biggest selling album ever was a spot decision that took an afternoon to do and sold 40 milion copies it’s a scorcher next on professor of rock
