Thousands of domestic workers across #Nagaland step into someone else's home every single day-cooking, cleaning, and caring for families that are not their own. Yet despite their daily contribution to households across the state, they remain among the most overlooked and least protected members of our workforce.
In this report, we sit down with a domestic worker to hear her story firsthand, and with Akokla Longchar, member of the Nagaland State Commission for Women, to understand what protections exist and what is being done to bridge that gap. Through two ground level conversations, we ask the questions that rarely get asked because their stories deserve to be heard, and awareness is the first step toward change.
