This key was designed with a moveable element (ball) as copy protection. Nevertheless it was an easy one to copy. Automated scan process and minimal post-processing was needed, until this key got printed on a Form2. The metall ball of the original key was reused, but standard ball-bearing balls could be used as well..

The scanner is based on household materials and can be created by anyone. Printing was done through 3dhubs.

Total processing time: ca. 15min
Waiting for the print to arrive: 1 week
Postprocessing of the printed key: just inserting the metall ball
