Following the death of Dolly Parton on Aug. 25, the Dollywood Parks and Resorts president addressed the future of the theme park. “This is a really heavy day for all of us here at Dollywood Parks and Resorts,” Eugene Naughton began his Aug. 26 video address. “We've been dealing with the news of our Dreamer in Chief passing, and I want to speak directly to you to make sure you realize that she's alive and well here.” Naughton also assured fans that the beloved Tennessee theme park she helped build will continue carrying out her vision.
