Most amusement parks have a train for the kiddies to ride or at least one that was created solely as a tourist attraction. That's not the case at Dollywood. Their trains are genuine steam engines, working trains with long histories--before they settled into the amusement park scene. In this video, we're riding "White Pass" #70, more commonly referred to as "Cinderella." Cinderella was built in 1938 and began her long career transporting troops and supplies in World War II. Weighing in at 230,000 pounds, she goes through 2 tons of coal per day. Up to 600 people can ride the train on each trip and an estimated 5,000 people ride the train each day the park is open. Most of the train maintenance is done on site at Dollywood. Cinderella began her amusement park career in 1977 at Silver Dollar City, which later became Dollywood in 1986.
