SOCK GNOMES DOLLAR TREE DIY l HOW TO MAKE SOCK GNOMES l Dollar Tree DIY
Watch how I make my very budget friendly DIY: SOCK GNOMES w/ Rice. In this fun, whimsical piece, I use mostly Dollar Tree products; i.e. white athletic ankle socks, black athletic ankle socks, colorful knee high socks, embellishments [buttons, flowers, small bells, twine, etc.], rice, white string/ light yarn, small plastic hair elastics, hot glue, face powder/ bronzer, and a fur pillow if you want to use only Dollar Tree supplies; as well as, poly-fil stuffing and fur [I found my fur in the crafting section of Joann Fabrics].
Note: I have never had a problem with Rice Weevils; however, If you are worried about them; here are some preventative ideas: Freeze rice for 4 days before use, stir in some Eucalyptus Oil, or keep in an Airtight Container. Another idea is that you can just use plastic pellets/ Poly Pellets.
The Sock Gnomes are whimsical, adorable & fun with each having their own personality based on how you put it together. This is a super easy & quick DIY. I have used the gnomes as party favors and as décor pieces. I love how these gnomes turned out. I hope you do as well… BE INSPIRED!
