Decided to see if I could pull this off by using both of my Elgato cards and splitter box to record the same video signal at the same time and it actually worked thanks to obs being able to select both cards at the same time.

Also a good thing my new pc is more powerful than the old one or some video errors might have happened even if it did have real usb 3 ports on it. :)
