Does the Bible BAN Christmas trees?
Some people point to Jeremiah 10 — “they cut a tree from the forest… they decorate it with silver and gold.” Sounds like a Christmas tree, right?

But hold up.
Jeremiah isn’t talking about Christmas trees.
He’s talking about idols — carved statues shaped from wood, fastened so they don’t fall over, and then worshipped as gods.

The passage literally says these things “cannot speak… cannot walk… and cannot do evil or good.”
It’s not condemning decorations — it’s condemning idolatry.

A Christmas tree in your living room isn’t an idol unless you’re bowing down to it.

So no — the Bible does NOT ban Christmas trees.
Jeremiah 10 is about worshipping false gods, not hanging lights.
