Combat within many genres has been the cornerstone of the gameplay experience since the idea of adding combat to games came to be.
Naturally, it’s only fitting that we want our combat to matter.
And as such, especially as information pooling and discourse culture carries on, we eventually get to discussions evaluating the value of combat in any game — including ARPGs.
