Yes, adding more RAM usually does help increase FPS when playing your games.

But, adding more RAM will only help you only if the game or app wasn't getting the amount of RAM it needs in the first place.

For example, the minimum RAM requirement for Forza Horizon 5 is 8GB of memory.

The recommended amount is 16GB. If you upgrade your PC to 16GB you may see a boost in performance, since your computer now has enough RAM
to run your game while keeping important processes running.

If you were to upgrade 32GB, you would barely see a difference -- if anything at all.

So, how do you make sure you have enough RAM for your app or game?

1. Pay attention at the system requirements for the game or app you are using.
2. Use a dedicated GPU if you can. A dedicated GPU has its own type of memory (GDDR). Integrated graphics use your computer's RAM. Also, this type of RAM designed specifically for graphics. So not only you get more video RAM, but you get better quality RAM too.

3. To be absolutely safe, you can have 32 GB of RAM. This enough for the vast majority of games. But 16GB is usually enough.
