Marvel Rivals fans are hitting the timeline with heavy criticism over Storm's brand-new swimsuit costume! We are breaking down why X-Men fans are furious about her Epic rarity outfit, missing color variants, and a major missed opportunity during the Egyptian-themed season!

What it do, Durag Nation? The latest Marvel Rivals Summer Festival drop is officially here, but not everyone in the community is celebrating. While players were excited to see Ororo Munroe finally get a new look, Storm stans are rightfully pointing out some massive issues with how NetEase handled her release.

Today, we are diving deep into the marvel rivals storm costume controversy. Despite Storm's iconic backstory growing up in Egypt, this yellow swimsuit ("Sacred Skies") ended up being the only costume she received during the entire Egyptian-themed season. To make matters worse, while other heroes receiving summer outfits this week were blessed with two customizable color variants, Storm was capped at Epic rarity with only a single variant. First, Hulk smash that Hype button to share the news with the community, and let's get it!

The Egyptian Season Missed Opportunity
Storm has one of the richest lore histories in Marvel Comics, including her upbringing on the streets of Cairo and her time worshiped as a weather goddess in Kenya and Egypt. Fans expected NetEase to drop an iconic, lore-heavy Legendary skin for her during the Egyptian-themed season. Instead, her only cosmetic for the entire season ended up being a standard yellow bikini, leaving many players feeling like her character was completely overlooked.

Epic Rarity & Missing Color Variants
The criticism doesn't stop at the theme. Community members quickly noticed a double standard in cosmetic quality control for this week's drop. While other heroes received Legendary status or multiple color swaps for their swimsuit bundles, Storm's "Sacred Skies" outfit was locked to Epic rarity and given only one color variant. We discuss why fans are calling out NetEase for holding back customization options on one of the most popular X-Men on the roster.
