A lot of people who live in imperial core countries claim that imperialism offers no benefit to normal people, only rather to the ultrarich. This runs into problems when we ask questions like just why is quality life so much higher in those countries then? Obviously, it does, and this need to downplay the reality is infantile. Here I explain a bit of this.
