The Intellectual Forum at Jesus College asks for the Cambridge Festival of Ideas, do schools give everybody a fair start in life? Are some people left behind and others unfairly advantaged? This event will run in the model of Question Time and will give people the chance to discuss how schools can reduce inequality and improve social mobility.
Our panel will include Anna Vignoles, Professor of Education and Fellow of Jesus College Cambridge; David Laws, Director of the Education Policy Institute and former Schools Minister; Ant Bagshaw, Deputy Director at Wonkhe; and Rachel Snape, Head Teacher at the Spinney School in Cambridge and the National Leader of Education. It will be chaired by Dr Julian Huppert, Director of the Intellectual Forum at Jesus College and former MP for Cambridge.
