Zez Retro | Does a WaveBird add lag? (scientific tests!) @ZezRetro | Uploaded November 2022 | Updated October 2024, 44 minutes ago.
I have always wondered if the wireless part of a GameCube WaveBird controller adds any extra lag. Thanks to the Mister Lag Test Controller homebrew project, we now have a way to test controller latency down to the millisecond.
This video is a quick project I did on a Friday afternoon and not meant to be an in-depth statistical and technical analysis of the WaveBird controller.
In this video I explain the MiSTer FPGA Input Latency Tester in detail: youtube.com/watch?v=6GGkVAi2db0
Thanks for Shank for extra advice on the inner workings of the GameCube controller protocol
