Hello and welcome in a new series of video that will focus on Obscure/Less known Leitmotifs from Doctor Who. We all know "I am the Doctor", "Clara's theme" or "The Doctor's Theme" but Gold also has a range of great themes that are less known to the casual audience and those videos will try to put them on the spotlight.
Today we're focusing on the theme associated with The Crack in Time. It sounds almost like a creature growling combined with an eerie instrumentation.
It first appears on "The Eleventh's Hour" when Amy is asking for help and is used throughout Series 5. It comes back in "The Time of the Doctor" and plays several times during the episode, the most notable variation is "The Crack" which I left unedited because the theme is present throughout the track.
The last time we hear it is when Clara asks the Crack to save the Doctor. In this ultimate version, the crack theme is mixed with Clara's theme to create a beautiful track that, sadly, remains Unreleased to this day!
