Dockerise your local build and testing environments (including integration and end-to-end testing), store the configuration as code - and get new developers up and running in minutes, and get automated feedback quicker and more reliably. And, instead of using Docker Compose, I'll present batect, a tool recently rated as 'trial' (the second highest rating) on the ThoughtWorks Tech Radar.
Charles is a lead developer and consultant at ThoughtWorks. I spend my time helping our clients solve gnarly technical problems. My particular interests include hardware, DevOps and improving the developer experience (developers are users too!).When I'm not at work, you'll find me travelling, taking photos, eating chocolate and playing with Lego.
