Maine Public and USM have been tracking the prices of food staples across the state since the beginning of 2025. We've found that some food prices like broccoli and bread stayed consistent while other foods like eggs and salmon fluctuated more drastically. But the overall price of these items as a basket actually haven't changed much over the past year.
