Analog astronauts work in different locations all over the world in simulated lunar and martian habitats to test out suits, experiments and living situations on Earth, before they go to space.
APUS Analog Research Group is one such group. Students from the online university can bring their research to ILMAH (Inflatable Lunar/Mars Analog Habitat) on the University of North Dakota campus, or to MDRS, the Mars Desert Research Station.
