In this video, I take a look at moisture meters from a woodturner’s perspective. Do we actually need one, especially if we rough-turn bowls and let them air-dry before finishing? I’ll share my thoughts based on years of turning, and I’ll also demonstrate the Bessemeter PT-83 pin type moisture meter that was sent to me for review. Let’s see if it’s a useful shop tool or just another gadget.
