I wasn't sure what question to answer today, but I've been reading "The Witches Devil" by Roger J. Horne, and the idea struck me to talk about the folkloric devil. I didn't have a script for this one and just answered off the cuff, hope you don't mind. I also had to cut out nearly half of what I recorded to meet the 3 minute mark (so I can post this on IG and YouTube Shorts). There's a lot more I could say and add.
In short, the idea of a devil (or many devils) in Witchcraft is a topic of some contention. You will get people who are adamant that there's no devil in the Craft (well, their craft) and that their practice is all about light and love... and then you will get people who straight up worship Satan of the Bible... and everything in between. The folkloric devil is a bit different than the one in the Bible, and is not seen as a malevolent figure. But he's not really benevolent either!
