Every entrepreneur hits that moment where you realize you're doing too much. I was talking to JJ Virgin about scaling and I said look, I'm noticing that being the CEO is not where I want to be. I want to be speaking, teaching, being the visionary.
And she said something that changed the way I think about it. "Be the talent." That's it. When someone else can do it better, faster or cheaper, let them do it. You only have so much energy and if you spread it everywhere, it gets diluted.
So ask yourself right now. What is your biggest gift to the world? Are you spending the majority of your time there? Because that's where you should be. Not in the weeds. Not managing everything. Do what you're best at. That's where you should be spending your time.
