Do This Once a Month for Back | 100 Pull-Ups, No Pacing
As-salamu alaykum.
This is not a routine. This is a test.
100 pull-ups. One session. No pacing. No saving energy for later sets. From the very first set, you go until your grip fails. I hit 30 on the first set. That decision made the remaining 70 brutal. Every set after that dropped. The reps got shorter. The rest periods got longer. My lats were screaming by set three.
That is the entire point.
When you pace yourself, you manage fatigue. When you refuse to pace yourself, you create fatigue. And when you force your back to work under that level of accumulated stress, you recruit muscle fibers that a normal 4x10 set never touches. The deep fibers. The ones that only wake up when the primary movers are cooked and your body has to find another way to get your chin over that bar.
This is not a weekly protocol. Once a month. Mark it on the calendar. Track your sets and reps. The goal is simple: get to 100 total reps in fewer sets than last time.
The back grows when it is forced to solve a problem it was not prepared for. This is the problem.
