rainbow eggs or highly potent eggs
or HP eggs
have special unique abilities
better stats and better stamina control
which makes a big difference in battles early and late game
the cool factor is you can get them from any den
normal, rare and super rare dens
but there are two easy ways to ensure you get them
if you want a specific monstie
whenever you make a monstie retreat to a cave after beating it
you can choose from two egg piles and continue to reroll eggs
until you are satisfied
i recommend you defeat the sleeping monstie first if you can
this will make the egg pickups even faster
and you can continue to pick up eggs for quite awhile
I think almost 25 eggs per nest
until you get lucky and obtain a rainbow shine from it
as soon as you get the rainbow, be careful not to replace the egg
and move to the second nest nearby and repeat as needed
you only get this many tries if its from a retreating monstie
whose den you just invaded
the other way to get rainbow eggs easily
is from super rare dens
but you can't control which egg specifically is there
as it will be random and limited supply
these blue ones on the map.
once you go into one
you have significantly higher chances
of getting eggs to be rainbow
but you can't control which egg it will be
and you can only get a max of 5 or 6 tries to pull eggs from it
before the nest disappears
but heres the cool part
we can make super rare dens respawn
by teleporting into town
then back into the world map
youll see all the dens get reset
and you get a chance to get more super rare dens
and can continue to do this!
