Coalition Gaming | Do these OLD PC PARTS still hold up for gaming? @CoalitionGaming | Uploaded July 2021 | Updated October 2024, 5 hours ago.
GPUs are still hard to get, even though the GPU shortage issue is showing signs of easing up. However, if you have some high end parts from a few years back like the legendary i7-4790k and Nvidia Geforce GTX 980ti, you might be wondering how well they hold up. Well, today we put that combo to the test! Benchmarks include Apex Legends, Call of Duty: Warzone, PUBG, Rainbow Six Siege, The Division 2, Doom Eternal, Fortnite BR, Firestrike, and Time Spy. Specific GPU is the massively factory overclocked Zotac Amp! Extreme 980ti, and the i7-4790k is overclocked between 4.4 and 4.6ghz depending on game. I don't do many builds without a good reason though, and the reason for this one was that the PC was to be gifted to my niece and nephew so when all was said and done, it was time to surprise them with it!
