Fermilab | Do sterile neutrinos exist? | Even Bananas @fermilab | Uploaded 2 years ago | Updated 22 minutes ago
We interrupt your regularly scheduled #EvenBananas with this edition of Particle/Counter Particle. In this science debate show, two physicists discuss the possible existence of "sterile neutrinos," a theorized fourth kind of neutrino. If sterile neutrinos exist, it would be a radical discovery, adding a new building block to the Standard Model of Particle Physics. Host Kirsty Duffy is joined by Mark Quatro (played by Columbia University researcher Mark Ross-Lonergan) and Elena LeTrois (played by Fermilab scientist Elena Gramellini).
