Some who study the history of secret societies, occult orders and the secret history of the world suggest that a powerful group of Satanists control society from behind the scenes.
In the wake of the Paris Olympics opening and closing ceremonies, people have again been asking - Have our dominant institutions been captured by people who are inspired by dark, Satanic forces?
I attempt to answer this question without venturing into outlandish theories which are questionable or which have no verifiable basis in fact. My answer hinges more on defining Satanism as a philosophy of life, then seeing if it reflects the attitudes of those who are in positions of power.
