Do plant-based diets reverse heart disease? Today we look at new scans showing reversal of an 80% blockage in a patient who followed the WFPB no-oil diet of heart disease-reversal expert, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn. We also discuss the failure of two patients of novice cardiologist Dr. Danielle Belardo - to succeed with the Esselstyn diet. When thousands of documented disease-reversal cases are in the literature, why was Dr. Belardo unsuccessful? We also look at research showing that common expensive and risky cardiology treatments - actually confer little or no benefit to the patient. But they make cardiologists rich. What the science shows: overall, cardiologists can be very helpful if you are in the middle of a heart attack, and lucky enough to be in a hospital at the time. But cardiologist run the spectrum and it seems many may be uneducated, uninformed, or out of touch. There is hope, though, because there are also some good ones out there who are getting it.
