On this eight episode of Whisky Distilleries Series I go to Wales and look back to my experience at the Penderyn Distillery in Brecon Beacons, Wales.

I visited the distillery back in December 2023 with my wife and her family and we did their only tour followed by some tastings.

I always liked Penderyn in a non-offensive and entry level whisky way but to see the distillery and taste the new make from the famous Faraday still was something else.

As with all the episodes in this series, I taste a Penderyn and this time it's the travel retail edition of Faraday, which is a single malt whisky produced solely in the Faraday still and matured in ex-bourbon casks before going through a finishing in ex-ruby port casks.
