Showing purchased refractory cement, and a do it yourself alternative. This cement is used to seal gaps and repair cracks. It is needed to build and to maintain the furnace. Diluted, it can be painted on as a sealer or fine crack filler that also provides a hard surface. This is the first video in the mini foundry series. The next video will be on refractory materials for the furnace lining.
