When you’re starting out as an entrepreneur, you don’t have the luxury of resources or a big team. At the beginning, I had to wear every hat and get passionate about all the different parts of the business, even the areas I wasn’t naturally drawn to.
But as Gymshark grew, my role changed. I learned that you don’t need to love or master every single area forever. Instead, you need to understand enough to manage it and then bring in the best people in the world to take it further than you ever could on your own.
That balance has been one of the biggest lessons in my journey: do it all at the start, then focus on building a team of incredible people who are better than you in their area.
