Do writers need a social media presence? Does it help? Do you get more readers from doing it? How much should you do?

There is a lot of different ways for writers to connect with their audiences now. Social media gives readers instant access to most of their favourite authors, but it also connects readers together. So you can find people who like reading the same kind of book as you. But should authors be on Tik Tok and Instagram and Twitter and YouTube? As a traditionally published author I talk about if social media is useful for promoting the work.
