What do those letters mean?!
We use acronyms sometimes as a shorthand for gender identity, since often times trans and non-binary characters dont have a chance to say how they identify in the series. Here are the common ones we use and what they mean.
CIS: A cisgender person is a person whose gender identity matches their sex assigned at birth.
AFAB and AMAB: Acronyms meaning “assigned female/male at birth” (also designated female/male at birth or female/male assigned at birth). We use these for agender people and all identities under the non-binary umbrella, including genderfluid, demigender, ect.
TRANS: Transgender people have a gender identity or gender expression that differs from the sex that they were assigned at birth.
Please note that many of the characters identities are more intricate than can be properly displayed for this medium of storytelling. You can check our discord for more information about PCs and NPCs.
