Create and animate a fake-3D DNA animation rig in After Effects! Set it up once and use the rig many times, which saves you a lot of time in the long run.
The plan: we create one piece in a pre-comp. Then build and animate the complete DNA strand in the main comp. We add Expression Controls for easy access to all the properties we want to adjust. We link properties across different compositions and use some basic expressions along the way.
We use the new "Null controllers for positional points" option, that came with After Effects 25.2.
