Looks like the community figured out a fix for the race condition in the boot sequence, with SurPlus,

Also, I made a response to this video.

I think some people are getting this video a bit twisted. If the Mac Pro works for you, keep using it. It's fantastic computer but it's at the end of the road. It has a few years left in the tank, but that all greatly depends on your needs. For me, I called it quits.

This is a quicker video than some of the ones I've made in the past hence some unrelated footage. This is a collection reasons why the era of the classic Mac Pro has finally come to pass.
It's pretty incredible that a 2009 computer like the 4,1 could be upgraded to be viable computer until late 2021, making them one of the longest lived Macs able to run modern OSes up until very recently. Despite how amazing the 4,1/5,1 Mac Pro is, I've had some thoughts on why it's time to pack up and move on.
Text version, with covers (mostly) the same content with more technical jargon.

Corrections:
Of course two days after recording and uploading this there's a _very_ rough OpenCore solution, and doesn't protect against the data corruption but does show promise.

I bought and returned the Shure MV7, testing it out in this video. It sounds strangely hollow and nasally compared to my other mics. It's clear but also tinny.

Beer consumed:
Breakside - IPA - What to know what the West Coast IPA looks like in the 2010s? This is it. It's a blended hop mix, featuring the legendary Citra as well as Chinook, Columbus and Falconer’s Flight. Bright, crisp, citrus and a bit dank, this is why the NW reigns at the top of craft beer.

Matryoshka (2021) Rum Barrel Aged With Coconut & Cherries - Matryoshka is the center-piece of what I'd consider the best beer festival in Oregon, Festival of the Dark Arts, a celebration of the rain soaked, foggy and overcast endless winter of Astoria replete off-kilter music, ice carving, metal working, glass blowing and of course, barrel aged dark beer. I consider Matryoshka the crown jewel of stouts in a state that's routinely ignored for stouts despite pushing some of the absolute best in the game. Matryoshka is a big boozy, barrel aged stout. It's boisterous and sticky without being a sugar bomb. The rum barrel aged version brings more sweetness and more icey alcohol burn. This variant isn't my favorite but it's damn good.

Edited in Final Cut Pro X, Motion, Compressor, Pixelmator Pro on a MacBook Air M1, video recorded on iPhone 12/MacBook M1. Voice-over recorded/mixed on a Shure MV7 in Logic. I learned I really don't like Logic for voiceovers.
