I apologize for the mediocre play around the end, I was getting really nervous and this was the farthest I ever got with this, and resorted to ridiculous amounts of combo A spam to ensure I can keep myself from not getting the enemy step, along with forgetting to do things like using DT to speed the fight up. This boss was my first time ever doing one of these kinds of kills, and I worked my way up from DH, to SOS, and then here in DMD before being able to pull this off. Essentially, the challenge is quite simply to never let yourself touch the ground the moment you start the fight and jump off the floor, using whatever tools you can to keep yourself suspended in the air at all times.
I chose to mainly make use of moves with Red Queen, but there are definitely some breakers that can come in handy with this challenge, like Punchline's rocket ride. Gerbera bounces worked for DH and SOS, so I thought it'd remain the same for this difficulty, and sure enough, it did. The hardest parts of this fight are maintaining enough air and distance closing when she does the triple charge attack, and making sure the lock on chooses the boss instead of the projectiles sent out. I've lost a countless number of attempts to inputs being botched as it wasn't locked onto the boss. I'm aware you can toggle lock on, but my brain is not fast enough to do that while maintaining the other actions needed to keep the attempt going.
So yeah, getting the kill on this difficulty took a few hours and I think it was a good introduction to the No Ground Touch challenge. In the future I'd like to get at least one or two more bosses killed with these limitations in any of the games. For now I'm gonna go resume clearing missions DMD No damage S Rank.
