In 'Devil May Cry 4', I returned to reprise the role of Dante (again, both motion capture and voice).
This time I was asked to play an older Dante, roughly aged 30. The original character in Parts 1 and 2 were also about 30 years old, but Capcom wanted an edgier Dante in this instalment, a slightly more mature hero from the one in DMC3.
At first, no one thought I would be able to pull it off as in DMC3 he had been so much younger. However, at the time of the shoot, my real age was 30, so I didn't find it difficult at all.
I chose Roy Fokker from 'Macross' (known in the US as 'Robotech') as my character model and I watched the Japanese version to study his voice and mannerisms.
