To be clear, I know this is a more nuanced issue than Publisher = evil and Developer/Creatives = angelic kindness! I just see the two conflated so often that it's a bit alarming and I'd like to avoid sweeping great works with potential under the rug because of crappy practices and/or poor communication by the few that implemented them or made the call.

Also, I know I said love and passion a lot but I genuinely sensed that through first-hand sources and experiences in the early creators game-worlds. That isn't to say I don't ever have that same feeling in modern games but it's a less common realization and is easily obscured by the addition of monetary-boosting maneuvers. These unfortunate necessities have distanced us from productive exchanges with the teams behind these titles. I have no answers. Sweet.
