In this video i teardown a NAC HSV-400 high speed colour video camera from the late 1980s.
The NAC HSV is range of camera systems was introduced in 1987 by NAC they record their footage onto video tape. In the original HSV-400 camera it used three Plumbicon (Vidicon) picture tubes arranged around a dichroic prism along with a 10,000/sec mechanical shutter.
In later models (HSV-500 onwards) NAC switched to solid state CMOS imaging but retained the video tape recording system until the HSV-1000 which ended the line. The Memrecam range replaced the HSV line of cameras.
