DJI Pocket 4P D-Log 2 dynamic range test: Which ISO produces the cleanest image, and are the claimed 17 stops of dynamic range actually visible?

We test D-Log 2 from ISO 100 to ISO 3200 and compare highlight recovery, shadow detail, noise and color after grading. You’ll also see D-Log 2 compared directly with original D-Log and Sony A7 V S-Log3 footage from the same challenging scene.

The results challenge several popular claims about D-Log 2—including the idea that ISO 1600 provides noticeably better dynamic range. We also test underexposure, normal exposure and exposing to the right to find the cleanest shooting method.
