For the last year, I've praised DJI for how they have implemented USB-C audio inputs in their Action cameras. While the Action 3 had a few minor issues, I was sure that they would all be resolved with the Osmo Action 4... Well, there are definite improvements, BUT there is one big bug that DJI has to fix... not every USB-C audio device is recognized by the camera at start up!
Now, from my initial testing, every USB-C audio device I've tried eventually worked with the Action 4, but a few took some extra measures to ensure the camera recognized them as an external audio device.
So I made this video to provide @DJI hopefully a running list of audio devices that are having issues and with your help, hopefully we can provide enough data for them to solve this bug with a new firmware update! If you have experienced any similar issues, leave a comment below with the microphone you use and let's do our part to help resolve this issue!
